Private programmes can include a casino-themed evening, a mystery story, a styled garden gathering or an era-inspired celebration. The event can run for up to six hours, with a maximum of 40 guests. A shorter hosted activity can also sit inside a more relaxed evening.
Think about how you would like the room to feel when guests arrive. A lively retro party, a warm garden setting and an elegant masquerade each suggest a different pace. The theme gives us a visual direction; your guest list tells us how much structure the evening needs.
Some groups enjoy dressing up and taking on characters. Others prefer a simple activity and plenty of time to catch up. We discuss those preferences before suggesting props or performance elements. The best plan leaves people comfortable enough to enjoy the occasion in their own way.
A private event often has one person trying to answer every question. A written plan helps separate decisions made in advance from tasks that need attention on the day. We agree arrival time, key moments, supplier access and who can make decisions while you are with your guests.
Where hosting or coordination is included, that role has a clear scope. It might cover welcoming guests into an activity, introducing the next part of the programme or keeping the agreed timeline on track. Catering service, venue management and photography are separate responsibilities unless listed in the proposal.

A welcome, a short speech, a shared activity and a closing moment can be enough to give an evening shape. If you are planning a cake, a surprise announcement or a family contribution, we place it in the running order so it has the attention it deserves.
Personalisation can include a colour palette, an era, a few meaningful details or a bespoke question round. Tell us what matters to the guest of honour, and what they would find uncomfortable. Surprises should be enjoyable for the person at the centre of them.
Photographs need their own plan. A styled area can create a useful focal point, but a photographer or videographer is only included when agreed. Let us know if guests should be asked about photography preferences and who is responsible for sharing the images afterwards.
Each venue brings different practical questions. At a home, we look at access, usable floor area, furniture, power and the effect of noise on neighbours. In a hired room, the venue’s rules, supplier access window and finishing time form part of the plan.
Outdoor ideas need a credible weather option before confirmation. A sheltered activity area, an indoor alternative or a different layout may be appropriate, depending on the property. Marquees, temporary structures, heaters and specialist outdoor equipment are separate items that require specific agreement.
The proposal identifies the planning, hosting, equipment and styling we will provide, along with setup and pack-down arrangements. You can see which items are essential to the chosen format and which are optional additions. This makes it easier to spend on the parts your guests will notice.
Food, drinks, venue hire, invitations, photography, entertainment acts and custom-built features are not automatically included. If you already have suppliers, share their timings and contact route so we can coordinate the agreed event elements. Any changes to scope or cost should be approved before work proceeds.
Styled private celebrations start from an indicative NZ$1,500, with a planning range of NZ$1,500–5,000. A compact hosted casino or team format may use a different price family. Compare the celebration scope and exclusions before choosing; your proposal confirms the final total and GST treatment.

Tell us who can receive messages, approve details and provide access without revealing the occasion. We can discuss a suitable communication plan, but you will need a reliable contact who can make decisions and help coordinate the venue and guest arrivals.
We agree the weather alternative and the decision process during planning. The options depend on the venue and equipment. If a change affects hired items, access, staff or the programme, we explain the practical and price implications before it is approved.
Yes, provided the arrangement works with the venue and the event plan. Tell us what you will supply, who will install it and when it will be removed. Music playback, equipment, permissions and any venue restrictions need to be clear in advance.
Send an enquiry with your preferred date and location. After discussing the scope, we provide the proposed booking arrangements in writing. A date becomes confirmed only when the agreed acceptance and payment requirements, if any, have been met.
